Origin

At the center of this piece rests a powerful Labradorite heart — a stone long known as the guardian of mystics, visionaries, and those who walk between worlds. Its deep midnight body flashes with brilliant blue and golden light, like the northern sky captured inside a stone.

I formed the setting in flowing hand-scrolled gold, guiding intricate curves and protective arcs around the heart so the stone is held securely while remaining fully visible. The design is intentionally open and sculptural, allowing both sides of the Labradorite heart to be revealed. Because the stone is reversible, the pendant may be turned to reveal different flashes of color and light, giving the feeling that the stone is alive and always shifting.

The gold scrollwork acts like a protective crown and cradle at the same time. Each curve was shaped to showcase the Labradorite rather than hide it, allowing light to reach the surface of the stone and ignite its blue and golden fire. Small crystal accents are woven into the design, catching the light and echoing the colors dancing inside the Labradorite.

This is a heart meant to be seen from every angle — a piece that reveals something new each time it turns.
